The lid and cup rim snap-fit is precisely adjusted for secure closure and sealing performance, which is what keeps drinks from spilling during delivery, takeout handling and stacking in carrier bags. Because the lid is thermoformed against the same rim geometry as the cup, the closure behaves consistently across a production run rather than only on the first few pieces.

Published Models in the Range
Two PET lid models are documented in our current catalogue. The XGL-117 Disposable PET Dome Lid for Fresh-Cut Fruit Cup is a domed lid developed for fruit cups and dessert formats, giving clearance above the fruit while keeping the contents visible. The XGL-98 Food-grade High-Transparency PET Direct Drinking Beverage Cup Lid uses a taller profile for direct-drinking beverage cups, so the drinker can use the lid opening without removing it. Both are produced on the same thermoforming platform as the rest of the range, and additional rim sizes and dome heights are configured against the cup body in the project.

Customization and Tooling
Customization is core to how we work. Our R&D team and in-house mould workshop produce tooling from physical samples, product drawings or stated dimensions, so a lid can be developed around a cup that is already in service. Process adjustments cover appearance, wall thickness, colour matching, anti-fog, anti-static and laminating.
Production Capacity and Order Scheduling
Our production base runs 16 fully automatic high-speed vacuum forming lines with independent mould processing equipment and a Class 100,000 food dust-free clean workshop. Sheet capacity reaches 30,000 tons per year, monthly production capacity is around 2,000 tons, and the site covers 50,000 m² with more than 400 employees.

Quality Control and Acceptance
Hygiene and quality management run through the whole process. Raw materials are checked for food-contact compliance before entering the warehouse, production is dust-free and controlled, and each process step is inspected on line. Finished lids are sampled for size, sealing, temperature resistance and odour, supported by a testing laboratory equipped with temperature resistance chambers, sealing testers, thickness testers and food material safety testing equipment. Third-party food contact testing reports are issued for the products we ship.

Which lid styles can Kipoer supply for PET cold drink cups?
